The Motor Safety Association (MSA) is a non-government, non-profit organization funded through an operational agreement with the Workers’ Compensation Board.
How is my business a member of the Motor Safety Association (MSA)?
Membership to MSA is automatic based on your businesses classification and premiums paid to the Workers Compensation Board (WCB).
A small levee is automatically deducted from your WCB premiums; which provides funding to the MSA to provide safety prevention programs and services.
WCB registered businesses classified in designated industry rate codes are automatically members of MSA. To see a complete list of business sub codes that are members of MSA click here.
MSA does not charge any additional fees to its members for programs and services. To see a full list of MSA’s programs and services click here.
The Association represents over 4000 businesses classified under the Workers’ Compensation Board designated Industry rate codes. And while we represent a wide scope of businesses — including car dealers, auto body shops, implement dealers, tire service and sales businesses, glass, transmission and other specialty shops to name but a few — our common goal is safety on the job. Although safety can be regulated to some extent, we believe all members should be proactively involved in the promotion of safe operating procedures on an individual and collective basis. One of our major aims is to have our membership group recognized as a symbol of quality and safety whatever the nature of the business, and to achieve the safest possible working environments for all employees.
